Asheville is a city in and the county seat Buncombe County, North Carolina nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is the largest city in Western North Carolina, and the 11th largest city in North Carolina. The city’s population was 87,236 according to the 2013 estimates. It’s known for a vibrant arts scene and historic architecture. It is also home of the 19th century Biltmore estate, known as the largest private home in America. The Downtown Art District is filled with galleries and museums, and has been named Beer City USA due to the number of microbreweries.
